Modules may be damaged if plugged into power incorrectly, as this can short the power supply or send incorrect voltages where they shouldn't be sent. Check the orientation for ribbon cables on case and module, ensuring that the -12V indicators on both the module and case's power supply are aligned. Typically, a red line on one side of the ribbon cable is present to help you orient things correctly (usually, you should connect the "red stripe" side of the ribbon cable to the -12V indication on both the module and power supply). If things still don't work when connected correctly, try a new ribbon cable.
