My TRS to MIDI cable is not working with my unit

There are two types of TRS MIDI connector, referred to as "Types" (A or B)—with each Type using a different pin orientation. You may be using the wrong Type of cable for your specific instrument. Consult the manual to check whether your unit needs Type A or Type B, and double-check whether your cable's manufacturer uses Type A or Type B connections.
